We arrived in New Orleans late in the evening on the third day and tried out a craw fish pizza. It took 36 hours by train to get from New York to New Orleans. On the fourth day we started exploring the city in 108 degree weather. New Orleans is a beautiful city with a lot of character. We started out by seeing the World War II museum, and then a walk out to the French Quarters. The pace in New Orleans was very different compared to New York with more time to relax and enjoy the culture around us. We made a stop to one of the most well know donut shops to enjoy some delicious beignets and an iced coffee to cool down at Café Du Monde. After exploring the French Quarters we rode a trolley car out to the New Orleans Museum of Art and Sculpture Garden. Now off to the west on a 48 hour ride.
